That 11 second submission was stupid, the guy was trying to fist bump to show respect and he just dived in. Yeah I know it's a competition but it's a harmless gesture of mutual respect that most fighters give each other and to take advantage of that seems incredibly unsportsmanlike and just shameful. Maybe I'm biased because I come from a wrestling background where going for a cheap win is looked down upon, and respect for your opponent is given whether you won or lost. I think most martial arts traditions and cultures would look down upon something like this honestly. How can you have pride in yourself if this is how you fight?

Chandler wasn’t out because he clearly ducked the first shot coming in as Pitbull jumped on top of him to finish him off. It happened so quickly though I doubt the ref noticed. He even covered his head with his right hand for a brief moment.

@Henry the submission itself is fine. Ryan Hall specializes in imanari roll-heel hook combinations and he NEVER does them like that. He sets them up first with feints and strikes. But this isn’t dirty per se, but it’s just like “meh.” You won’t make many fans that way, but as i said, not outright dirty. You have to be prepared and protect yourself at all times once the bell rings. I’m not fond of that course of action, but it is what it is.

This is why they have them touch gloves BEFORE the fight. The second glove touch is up to the fighters but definitely not required. I don't think it's a scumbag move by any means. He runs at him immediately. His intentions are pretty clear & they are not to touch gloves.

Protect yourself at all times. You see the fighters who raise their hands up before the fight starts basically saying with eye contact "Hey we touching?" they should do that to avoid situations like this.

I bet he trained this 'running foot lock' dozens of times and getting the opponent by surprise while they are waiting for the fist bump is sure part of the tactics. So I think this is not a great submission.

Pitbull vs. Chandler shouldn't be on there. You don't want a fight on a list like this where there has been controversy about whether it was stopped too soon. The rest were pretty good, I remember watching most of these fights.

@trick top you’re definitely right. It’s not dirty. It’s maybe a little cheap, but as soon as that bell rings you have to be prepared to defend yourself. And it’s not like dude threw a haymaker as guy was trying to touch gloves, it was a fucking imanari roll, it takes a couple seconds to even pull off. He had time to defend against it when he saw Aviv move, he just didn’t know how to counter it because it’s not a very common move if you aren’t fighting Ryan Hall.
